Welcome to AVGS (Antelope Valley Guitar Society)!

The Primary purpose of the AVGS is to provide a performance venue or medium where guitarists can improve, grow, and perfect their guitar performance.  One other by-product of the AVGS is that you get to network with other local professional and amateur guitarists, and entheuiasts, to share your interests, questions and experierience.

Additionally, AVGS frequently sponsors performances and shows for various local events where often our members actively perform for.

We will be meeting normally the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  This month we will be meeting Tuesday September 15th, at Butler’s Coffee in Palmdale from 7pm to 9pm. Address is 40125 10th St .West, Suite I, Palmdale, CA 93551.

  Special Activities/Events Include:

We have changed venues due to space reductions at Mario’s Music. We greatly appreciated Mario for Sponsoring us this past year or so. We have moved to Butler’s Coffee in Palmdale – I will post meeting dates Monthly, which will either be the second or third Tuesday of each month (check here for monthly meeting dates).

September’s Meeting is Open Mic. Month! Practice up and come play whatever Music you like for the Meeting…

Spotlight On Guitar: Members Sign Up for Performances – or just show up…Member Cost: Free…

Please bring only Acoustic Guitars to the Meeting to Maximize Performance Opportunities for Performing Members (Some Electric OK, if it’s a small amp and just takes literally a few seconds to plug in and get going).

I assume the “ABOUT” message was done in 2009 and the Tues Sept 15 meeting in that year. A little confusing without the year.
